My Flash On You

i have always loved the term proto-punk; envisioning a group of forward thinking cavemen thrashin’ out their confusion, anger and disillusionment. fuzzy bass, distorted guitars, unintelligible lyrics and steady Cro-Magnon pounding on the drums. sixties psychedelic garage rock. the early formations of punk rock. proto-punk.

as the 200th mixtape for dj luv’s records this mix had to be something special. so i put together a mix of soulful love for my partner in life, without whom none of this would be possible. i would be crumpled up on the side of the road without her sweet understanding love. she’s the sunshine in our happy home and it’s simply beautiful. this is dedicated to the one i love.
