A Streetcar Named PCC 4001

the flanged metal rings of the wheels on an old streetcar are as much an influence on electro as sci-fi, the 8o8 cowbell, Kraftwerk, vocoders, skittering hi hats , booming bass and Bambaattaa. the clattering of the tracks are hypnotic rhythms for the weary returning home, a prototype for mechanized urban tribal soul.

at least 50% of all recorded music is about “love”, so when asked to make a mix on this theme i was truly daunted. here’s my attempt to tell a story about “love” with words and music. I hope you love it.
